One morning l visited the world trade centre, this resulted in a series of views looking across lower manhattan from the top of the twin towers. The shadows formed by the towers almost touching in the strong raking sunlight have a monolithic quality which echoe the monumental structures created by the pharaohs in the middle east.
In this version l include birds in the foreground , a reference to the experience of seeing birds in flight around the top of the empire state building (seen on the horizon) during the night.
