One morning l visited the world trade centre, this resulted in a series of views looking across lower manhattan from the top of the twin towers. The shadows formed by the towers that almost touch in the strong raking sunlight have a monolithic quality, which echoe the monumental structures created by the pharaohs in the middle east.
